Commercial photography

The name Raphaelite refers to the Renaissance artist Raphael who was noted for “perfection” and “grace”, particularly in his depiction of the human form.

Photography…

particularly in today’s world where special effects and digital editing is commonplace, opens up a world of opportunity for unique and striking imagery. The idea that the camera never lies is, nowadays, something of a myth, yet the potential for manipulating images simply means that we are not restricted in our ability to create beautiful images; we are only limited by our imagination.
Raphaelite Photography is based near St Albans, Hertfordshire, covering Harpenden, Watford, Rickmansworth, Chorleywood and the surrounding areas of Hertfordshire as well as North London, however, work has been commissioned from all over the UK as well as Canada, Australia and Europe.

Since 2006, I has been photographing everything from corporate headshots and weddings to live events such as Glastonbury as well as creating promotional images from celebrity studio shoots to product packshots.

I am particularly interested in creating unusual portraiture based on a background in Film and Television Production, using make-up and special effects to produce unique and personal images that reflect so much more personality than the usual high street chains. In order to present images at their best, I offer a fine art large format print service. Images up to 24″ in width can be produced on a wide variety of specialist media from canvas and fine art papers to aluminium sheets. Bespoke frames can be sourced as well as beautiful print to page albums hand made in Italy- perfect for wedding albums, model portfolios and coffee table gift books.

Personal Training…

As a trainer, I am personally interested in aiming high and helping clients focus on self-belief and motivation to achieve their goals, whilst thinking laterally to provide tailored training that is fun, diverse and results-driven.

Core stability and body awareness are key features of my training programmes. Having sustained a fractured spine in 2010 whilst training to be a stunt double, I am acutely aware of the benefits of strength and control not just in the obvious large active muscles but in the smaller, synergist muscles that stabilise joints and assist the action. Postural corrections not only provide body confidence, but also physical efficiency and performance gains.

I am a Level 3 Personal Trainer, registered with REPs and qualified to deliver ante & post natal exercise programmes. I am also a Level 2 Aquatics Teacher registered with the Amateur Swimming Association and Institute of swimming and a qualified Massage Therapist.
