Raphaelite Health and Fitness Personal Training

We've all heard the advice that 30 minutes of exercise 5 times a week is meant to be good for you, but how easy is it to get out there after a hard day's work and how often have you signed up for gym membership to find that you've only been once in the last 3 months? Do you pound the treadmill every week in the blind faith that it must be doing you some good? Effective exercise doesn't have to be unpleasant or a chore, and with personal training sessions, you can find the motivation and variety you need to keep you going.

Session format and cost

Progammes are targeted to your specific goal, whether it's losing weight, toning up or training for an event. If you don't like using the gym or would like more variety, personal training can provide an interesting mix of activities to keep you motivated whilst knowing that you are doing something that is really making a difference to your body.

Sessions are available on a one-to-one basis or in pairs/small groups, and as a client of Raphaelite Fitness you can keep track of your improvements online. Sessions are tailored to your own level of ability and confidence and aimed to fit around your lifestyle. Early morning sessions, training at your workplace or at home or late evening sessions are all available.

It is recommended to arrange weekly sessions in order to keep track of your progress, but bi-weekly, monthly or every few weeks can be arranged. Of course if you are training for a big event, you may wish to train more than once a week.

Sessions last approximately 1 hour and cost £25

Raphaelite Health & Fitness is based near St Albans in Hertfordshire, with coverage of Harpenden, Rickmansworth, Chorleywood and the surrounding areas of North London.

Make the most of your session

To get the most effective results from your physical activity, you may also wish to consider how your diet is affecting your lifestyle and performance. See the Diet & Nutrition page for information and contact Angela for a diet analysis and nutritional advice. Angela also specialises in posture control and performance stability - training stabilising muscles to minimise injury occurrence and optimise performance.

With you all the way

Improving your fitness or training for an event can be a struggle sometimes. Finding motivation can be hard when life gets in the way, taking on a challenge may be daunting or you may face sticking points that make you want to give up on it all. Angela aims to support you all the way by setting interesting targets, training alongside you or offering a challenge of her own to match yours. Where possible, Angela aims to be there on the sidelines at your event to cheer you on and provide advice and support along the way. Alternatively, Angela may put you in touch with other clients that share your interests, providing a training buddy, competition or team mate for an event. Share your thoughts on the Facebook page or offer help to others.

Testimonials

Never been worked so hard and felt so good about it!

Wow you've made me achieve so much that I never believed I could, now with your help I think I can achieve anything ...... Triathlons here I come!!

Having Angela as my swimming teacher and personal trainer has  been absolutely instrumental in my injury recovery. Having discovered that I had hyper-mobile joints, therefore being very susceptible to injury, I turned up as a complex case, especially as I had recently dislocated the second of my knees but wanted to complete the required swimming skill level for stunt-man training! She quickly fulfilled the brief and I am currently training for a 10km swim with her. Angela's enthusiasm, knowledge, interest and determination are inspiring and I'm still glad to count her as my personal trainer, even having moved to the West Midlands!
