The name Raphaelite refers to the Renaissance artist Raphael who was noted for "perfection" and "grace", particularly in his depiction of the human form. Photography, particularly in today's world where special effects and digital editing is commonplace, opens up a world of opportunity for unique and striking imagery. The idea that the camera never lies is, nowadays, something of a myth, yet the potential for manipulating images simply means that we are not restricted in our ability to create beautiful images; we are only limited by our imagination.

Raphaelite Photography is based near St Albans, Hertfordshire, covering Harpenden, Watford, Rickmansworth, Chorleywood and the surrounding areas of Hertfordshire as well as North London, however, work has been commissioned from all over the UK as well as Canada, Australia and Europe.

Since 2006, Angela has been photographing everything from corporate headshots and weddings to live events such as Glastonbury as well as creating promotional images from celebrity studio shoots to product packshots.

Angela is particularly interested in creating unusual portraiture based on a background in Film and Television Production, using make-up and special effects to produce unique and personal images that reflect so much more personality than the usual high street chains. In order to present images at their best, Raphaelite Photography offers a fine art large format print service. Images up to 24" in width can be produced on a wide variety of specialist media from canvas and fine art papers to aluminium sheets.
